Executing all types of foundation work

We have extensive expertise and experience in all types of foundation work. Our foundation department has a large fleet of state-of-the-art drilling rigs, piling machines, hammers and our own work barges for foundation tasks on land and at sea. We execute all types of foundation work in all possible environments and geographic locations and under varying geological conditions. Additionally, we have a wide selection of piling machines.

We perform foundation tasks as part of our own construction projects, but the department’s expertise and capacity are also highly sought after by other contractors across Denmark and southern Sweden. This is because we have the expertise, machinery and workforce to mobilise the necessary capacity at short notice.

Piled foundations

We install reinforced concrete piles of all dimensions and lengths, ensuring a solid and stable foundation for buildings, reducing the risk of ground settlement and structural damage over time.

Sheet piles and excavation support

Our foundation department has extensive experience in advising on and selecting the best retaining wall solutions for each project. Establishing excavation pits involves several of our core competencies. We also offer various excavation support solutions, including bored secant pile walls, steel sheet piles and Copenhagen sheet piles.

Marine construction
We also perform piling and marine construction, including building harbour piers, quay structures and breakwaters, where we carry out dredging and reclamation work. We have the equipment to execute piling and sheet piling tasks in water.

Drilling and load-bearing calculations
We execute all types of drilled foundations. When using drilled piles, the foundation process is vibration-free. Additionally, M.J. Eriksson has an in-house design department, which helps identify the optimal solution for your project.

Excavation at Svanemølleholm

In Nordhavn, we have carried out site preparation, excavation, foundation work, groundwater lowering and concrete work as part of the preparation for a large construction project for AP Pension.

Excavation at Marmormolen

At Marmormolen, an eight-story office building for AP Pension has been constructed. Here, we installed sheet pile walls for the 6,000 m² excavation pit. Our groundwater lowering department was responsible for regulating the groundwater level in the water-bearing limestone.

Earthworks, foundation and concrete work at Frederiks Plads

M.J. Eriksson has executed the excavation pit and basement construction for two new high-rise buildings, one of which will reach 100 m, making it the tallest building at Frederiks Plads in Aarhus. Our work has included piling and sheet piling tasks, drilling 101 piles to a depth of 30 m.
