Our groundwater lowering department carries out all types of groundwater lowering and dewatering of excavation pits throughout the country, for both public and private developers and under all types of contract models. We perform various types of drilling, including both cased and uncased geotechnical drilling, monitoring boreholes, pump and infiltration drilling, core drilling and wellpoint dewatering. We have conducted groundwater lowering on numerous projects in central Copenhagen.
We have modern specialised equipment
We have state-of-the-art equipment for groundwater lowering and site dewatering. For example, we have mobile drilling rigs and trucks, and wellpoint systems with both electric and diesel-powered vacuum pumps.
In addition, we also provide complete water treatment systems tailored to each project and in compliance with developer and regulatory requirements. All our pumping systems are equipped with SCADA control and alarm monitoring, ensuring the best possible and most stable operation 24/7, all year round.
We perform groundwater lowering across the country
With 22 years of experience, our department has gathered extensive expertise and knowledge of the geological conditions across large parts of Denmark, especially Copenhagen and Zealand. We handle projects for both our own construction contracts and other contractors throughout Denmark and southern Sweden.
Our employees undergo continuous training to maintain the necessary certifications, including A and B certifications for drilling, as well as welding certifications and environmental courses.
At Kalvebod Brygge in Copenhagen, Hotel Scandic Spectrum opened in June 2022. As part of the Pihl consortium, we have been the lead contractor for all construction work, including excavation, foundation work and groundwater lowering at Hotel Scandic Spectrum. We were responsible for the entire excavation pit, including foundation, earthworks, sewage and drainage work.

Excavation at Marmormolen
At Marmormolen, an eight-storey office building for AP Pension has been constructed. We installed the sheet pile wall for the 6,000 m² excavation pit. Our groundwater lowering department was responsible for regulating the groundwater level in the water-bearing limestone.

In Nordhavn, we have, as the main contractor, carried out site preparation, excavation, foundation work, groundwater lowering and concrete work as part of the preparations for a major construction project for AP Pension.
