Annual result for 2023/2024

M.J. Eriksson achieved a pre-tax profit of DKK 260.3 million (DKK 166.7 million) in 2023/24, corresponding to growth of over 55 per cent. The result reflects a high level of activity, an optimised project portfolio and an improved gross margin.

The gross margin increased to 10.1 per cent (6.7 per cent) due to favourable developments in energy and raw material prices, as well as positive market conditions. Revenue reached DKK 2.9 billion (DKK 3.1 billion), representing a 4 per cent decline, primarily due to project timing differences.

The company achieved a primary operating profit of DKK 247.2 million (DKK 163.2 million).

“An efficient and agile organisation, combined with a balanced project portfolio, has been key to delivering another strong result this year,” says Torben Bloch Nielsen, CEO of M.J. Eriksson. “The efforts of all departments and employees in every project have been invaluable in a busy year and deserve great recognition. With this level of commitment, our updated modern machinery fleet and a strong financial foundation, we are well positioned for the future.”

Over the past year, M.J. Eriksson has carried out large-scale projects within public transportation, including:
– The expansion and maintenance of motorways in Funen and Jutland for the Danish Road Directorate
– The modernisation of the Nykøbing F – Rødby railway line
– Work related to the construction of new DSB railway maintenance facilities in several cities

Additionally, the company has been engaged in district heating projects nationwide and has contributed to the expansion of production facilities in the pharmaceutical industry.

M.J. Eriksson is built on a strong foundation for continued growth, supported by a financially solid business model. With a robust project pipeline for 2024/25, the company expects to maintain activity and revenue levels similar to those of 2023/24.
