15 km of rail and sleeper replacement

As the main contractor for Banedanmark, M.J. Eriksson is carrying out railway works between Fredericia and Padborg. The project includes track renewal on selected sections of the route, with ballast cleaning and rail and sleeper replacement as the primary tasks. Additionally, the contract involves track lowering, overhead power system adjustments, safety installations, drainage and structural works related to the track works.

We have completed 15.1 km of rail and sleeper replacement and replaced ballast mats on four bridges – one bridge with replacement for both tracks and three bridges with replacement for one track. Additionally, we installed a ballast mat on a concrete structure located under the right-hand track at 31.84 km. Our foundation department also installed two HEB walls in connection with the bridge works.

Drainage, overhead power system and foundation reinforcement

We handled existing drainage works, installed 1.5 km of new cable ducts and relocated other existing cables. We dismantled and established new BPU (protection and potential equalisation) areas, carried out potential equalisation on 18 bridges and replaced 110 m of wire fencing.

The contract also includes overhead power system works, with the adjustment of line supports, the replacement of 45 line supports and new BPU areas. Our construction department has carried out foundation reinforcement and frost protection on bridges, raised edge beams on eight track-bearing bridges, implemented ballast protection on eight track-bearing bridges, and installed four steel portals on bridges.
