1,680 m of drainage

As the main contractor for Lyngby Municipality, we have installed 1,680 m of drainage pipelines along Lundtoftegårdsvej.

To avoid closing a motorway exit, we carried out two microtunnelling sections, one 38 m long with 900 mm diameter pipes and another 42 m long with 1,000 mm diameter pipes, which also required the construction of two start and receiving pits. These pits were built using a specialised trench box system, reaching depths of 5.5 m and 3.5 m respectively.

We installed 1,600 m of pipelines through excavation, using three sets of trench boxes, which were successively moved as the pipes were laid.

Stormwater and traffic management

Along the entire stretch, we decommissioned the existing pipelines, either by removing them or filling them with concrete. We reconnected and restored existing road drains and additionally installed service connections and 120 new inspection and property boundary maintenance holes for the future construction sites planned along the 1,680 m long project area.

To manage and receive rainwater from the southern part of Lundtoftegårdsvej, we also established a pumping station, designed to connect the new pipelines to the existing system.

Finally, we restored the road, cycle path and pavement, including the installation of kerbstones, cobblestone paving, lamp posts, asphalt surfacing, lane markings, pedestrian crossings and traffic symbols.

Our traffic management, divided into multiple phases, was a critical aspect of our bid and the execution of the project.
